Jolene Chou (MPH, UMDNJ School of Public Health) joined the Center for State Health Policy in 2009 as a Research Analyst. Ms. Chou is currently part of the New Jersey Childhood Obesity Study team as well as the Evaluating Innovations in Nursing Education National Program Office, where she provides research and project management support. In addition, Ms. Chou assists the senior research staff in the preparation of grant applications and reports in these and other initiatives. Prior to joining the Center, Ms. Chou was the senior research associate at Charles B. Wang Community Health Center in New York City, where she provided technical advice and assistance to program and clinical staff on designing evaluation projects and analyzing data, and participated in community-based research projects in collaboration with academic researchers. Prior to that, she was the program manager for a practice-based research network based in the American College of Physicians, and coordinated quality improvement projects in diabetes and depression management in the primary care setting. Ms. Chou had also worked as a special projects coordinator of the Primary Care Information Project, an initiative at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to disseminate health information technology to community-based primary care practices.
