Project L/EARN Intern Presents at Council for Undergraduate Research Conference

Breanna Brock (Project L/EARN cohort of 2016) presented her paper "Racial Discrimination, Racism-Related Coping Strategies, and Mental Health among African Americans" at the Council for Undergraduate Research's Research Experiences for Undergraduates Conference in Arlington, Virginia on October 24. Ms. Brock's research was supervised by her faculty mentor, Professor Dawne Mouzon. Their co-author, Theresa Simpson, was Project L/EARN summer senior course instructor for the NSF program "Social Disparities in Health, Health Behaviors, and Access to Health Care" in which Ms. Brock participated. Ms. Brock is currently applying to PhD programs in sociology.
