Health Care Reform and the 2008 Presidential Election

Leading scholars from Rutgers and UMDNJ will participate in a cross-academic forum on health care reform and the 2008 US presidential election. The forum will be held at the Bloustein School, 33 Livingston Avenue, on Friday, October 10th from 9:00 AM - 12:00 Noon. This forum will address the candidates' plans with respect to: the uninsured, vulnerable populations within healthcare systems, cost containment and quality of care, regulatory reform and the roles of states and public opinion.

Participants will include Drs. Allison Blake of the School of Social Work's Institute for Families, Joel Cantor of the Center for State Health Policy, David Mechanic of the Institute for Health, Health Care Policy, and Aging Research, Alan Monheit of UMDNJ's School of Public Health, Alan Rosenthal of the Eagleton Institute of Politics, and Cliff Zukin of the Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy.

CEUs are available for professionals.
