Inaugural Demone Memorial Lecture at Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum

The Rutgers University School of Social Work will host the Inaugural Demone Memorial Lecture on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at 5:00 pm. It will take place at the Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum on the Rutgers Campus. Former Dean Harold Demone and his wife Marguerite have endowed this annual lectureship on the subject of alcohol and related addictions. The inaugural guest speaker will be Dr. Philip Cook, the Terry Sanford Professor of Public Policy and Professor of Economics and Sociology, as well as Associate Director of the Sanford Institute of Public Policy, at Duke University. He will be speaking on the topic “Paying the Tab: The Case for Raising Alcohol Excise Tax.”
